Featured Dr Gillian McKeith Book

4 out of 5 starsOK but not fab, April 29, 2006

I have worked with this book for a month now and tried most of the recipes.... some are awful, some are better, none are really tasty. Having said that i feel 100% better, don't suffer from headaches anymore and have lost half a stone. People at work have noticed a difference in my skin and said i look 'sparkly' and 'refreshed' so for me it has been worth it and i have just ordered one of her other books too.

5 out of 5 starsA good Source of easy to make, healthy recipies, April 9, 2006

I hate cooking and cook books but wanted to improve my diet-this was an excellent buy and did the job!

I found this book a great source of easy to make tasty recipies. It has lots of sections and really useful 'Quick Bites' if, like me, you simply don't have time to cook. She also gives you ideas for packed lunches. It does include some meat and fish recipies for those carnivores.

I think you can't deny that reducing you bread intake and introducing other grains and non-wheat foods is a good thing. I don't follow her plans 100% of the time but she doesn't really expect you to. You do feel a lot better so surely that's a good thing and whether you lose weight or not-well at the end of the day that's up to you.
